About Jazzmania Live
Jazzmania Live features the area’s finest jazz vocalists and musicians, blending talent and passion to create unforgettable performances. More than just a band, the group fosters an inclusive and nurturing environment where amateur musicians and vocalists of all ages can grow their jazz performance skills.
The ensemble produces its own concert series throughout the year: a summer performance series at The Cascades at Stone Manse in South Park, and a winter/spring series at The Encore Ballroom on Pittsburgh’s North Shore. All performnces at The Encore Ballroom are Jazzmania produced events located within the Allegheny Elks lodge. These events are open to the public, family-friendly and everyone is welcome.

Led by Managing Director “Arthur Ray” Crivella, Jazzmania Live showcases some of Pittsburgh’s most beloved performers, including vocalists Leslie Howard, Clement Payne, Susan Leslie, and Denise Mitchel, and musicians Kaitlyn Van Vleet, Rick Nowlin, Roger Barbour, Robert Palmer, Raynard Ford, Lester Harper, Dan Foley, and others.

Together, they keep Pittsburgh’s jazz spirit alive and thriving.
Jazzmania's Community Focus and Mission
At Jazzmania, our mission is to celebrate and develop the art of live jazz performance while creating a safe, supportive, and inspiring environment for all who wish to participate. We believe that jazz thrives when musicians and vocalists—whether seasoned professionals or aspiring amateurs—are given opportunities to grow, experiment, and share their music with others.
Through our programs and performances, Jazzmania provides a welcoming stage where emerging artists can:
-
Develop their performance skills with the guidance and encouragement of experienced musicians.
-
Gain valuable experience in front of live audiences in a professional yet supportive setting.
-
Enjoy the excitement of performing, connecting, and sharing the joy of jazz with the community.
By nurturing talent across generations and backgrounds, we ensure that Pittsburgh’s rich jazz tradition continues to flourish—alive, evolving, and accessible to all.
Interested musicians and vocalists—as well as instructors and band directors who would like to participate or collaborate—are encouraged to contact our Managing Director, Arthur Ray Crivella, by phone or email.
